Delta House of Assembly has passed the Urban and Regional Planning Bill, 2024.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the executive bill was passed after its third reading at the plenary on Friday in Asaba.
According to the Speaker, Mr Dennis Guwor, the bill has 10 parts and 78 clauses.
Guwor said that when signed into law, the bill would ensure that the urban development activities in the state were carried out in safe and orderly manner.
NAN reports that the lawmakers unanimously supported and passed the bill.
The speaker, thereafter, directed the Clerk of the assembly, Mr Otto Aghoghophia, to forward clean copies of the bill to the governor for his assent. (NAN).
