The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo Command on Monday decorated 96 newly promoted officers of the command.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the newly promoted officers include two Deputy Commander of Narcotic (DCN), 11 Assistant Commander of Narcotic (ACN), 12 Chief Superintendents of Narcotic (CSN).
Others were five Superintendents of Narcotic (SN), seven Deputy Superintendents of Narcotic (DSN), 50 Assistant Superintendents of Narcotic (ASN 1), five Assistant Superintendents of Narcotic (ASN 11), two Chief Narcotic Agent (CNA) and two Senior Narcotic Agent.
The NDLEA Commander in the state, Olayinka Joe-Fadile, while congratulating the officers, urged them to brace up for the task ahead.
Joe-Fadile said that being promoted calls for greater responsibility which must be discharged responsibly.
He urged them to continue to give their best to the service of the country.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ACN Audu Rotimi appreciated the Agency for the confidence reposed in them.
Rotimi pledged the commitment of the officers not to relent on their oars in tackling drug abuse and trafficking in the country.(NAN).
