Finidi George has expressed determination to steer NPFL club Rivers United back to top reckoning.
Recall that on Wednesday, Finidi was formally unveiled as the new Rivers United head coach.
The Port Harcourt are hoping to bounce back into reckoning again after a disappointing campaign last season which saw them finish in eighth position.
The 53-year-old, who signed a two-year contract with Port Harcourt club said the team will get back to winning ways under his tutelage.
“For a good team like Rivers it’s all about winning, which we will try to do,” he said at the contract signing ceremony.
“We all know football is not easy, we all want results and we have to work towards it.
“That is what we are going to do, we are not going to relent and we will work for results.
“The target set is for Rivers United to perform and at least get the continental ticket.
“It is a difficult task but we are capable and will do our best to achieve that,” PNO Sports quoted Finidi as saying.
