To ensure that Paralympians are not restrained during the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France, the organisers have created 17 “Enhanced Accessibility Neighbourhoods” (QAA in french) in one for each district – which will allow everyone, regardless of their situation ( strollers, age, disability), to move around easily and have access to all essential daily services (shops, health, schools, public services, cultural venues, etc.).

This piece of information was made available by Paris Media Center through a newsletter titled “Paris for all” obtained by Prompt News which read in parts: “In less than 100 days, the first Paralympic Games in the history of Paris will begin. An important event for the (re)discovery of some of the stars of French Paralympic sport, such as Cédric Nankin – an outstanding wheelchair rugby player – and for the unprecedented commitments it has sparked.
“Ensuring the best possible reception for people with disabilities ultimately helps to improve everyday life for everyone. In concrete terms, this is being achieved through the creation of 17 “Enhanced Accessibility Neighbourhoods” (QAA in french) – one for each district – which will allow everyone, regardless of their situation ( strollers, age, disability), to move around easily and have access to all essential daily services (shops, health, schools, public services, cultural venues, etc.).
“The recent move to make 100% of bus routes accessible is another striking example.
“A colossal undertaking and a tour de force: in just three years, what would normally have taken twenty years has been achieved.
“An improvement for hundreds of thousands of visitors, a decisive legacy for as many Parisians”. READ ALSO:
