Paris FC Shot stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named Best Goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema.
The Nigeria international beat strong competition from Olympic Lyon’s Christiane Endler and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek of Paris SG to win the individual accolade.
Nnadozie was also nominated for the award last season.
The 23-year-old made history as the first African nay Nigerian to win the award.
Nnadozie enjoyed a stellar campaign for Paris FC in the league and Europe.
She further enhanced her reputation this season with her penalty saving heroics.
Nnadozie saved seven penalties this season, the highest by any goalkeeper in Europe.
Paris FC president Pierre Ferracci eulogised the goalie for her exemplary displays and claimed she deserved to win the award.
“It’s very pleasing, because she deserves it and she achieved an exceptional Champions League and not only on penalties. She is adorable. It is deserved. We know that she will be courted this summer but we will try to keep her,” Ferracci said at the ceremony. READ ALSO:
