The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Sector Command, on Monday, decorated 66 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
Those promoted officers included 30 officers and 36 marshals.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the exercise was held at the Osun Command Hall, Osogbo.
The state Sector Commander, Mr Henry Benamaisia, while speaking with journalists on the sideline of the event, said the officers were found worthy to be promoted to their new ranks by management.
Benamaisia said the corps recognised the commitment and hard work as well as the officers’ dedication to duty.
He said more responsibility would be expected from the newly promoted officers as they embarked on their professional duties.
“As we all know that the officers were promoted because of their hard work and commitment to duty.
“I want to charge them that more is expected from them by the command because more responsibilities come with such ranks,” Benamaisia said.
