Falconets invitee, Ginika Ikeh has started live in Rabat with a resounding victory as her new team, Club Solidarite Sportif Temara (CSST) thrashed rivals Raja Ait Iazza 4-1 in the Moroccan women’s premier league with the midfielder providing two assists in the match.
The victory was the modest club’s first win after losing three in a row in 2024 before Ikeh was signed from Sporting Club Casablanca which came second in the last CAF Women’s Champions League in Cote d’ voire. She left the former club to Rabat-based CSST in the interest of both parties.
Speaking exclusively to Prompt News today on telephone from Morocco, the former Edo Queens midfielder revealed that she has settled down in CSST and is prepared to lead to the resurgence of the club in the second stanza of the Moroccan top division league, pointing out that her first match game in CSST Temara colours saw the club wallop their opponents 4-1.
Said she: “I am very happy that I helped my new team to secure a 4-1 win against ARAFF Club in our last home match with two good assist as a midfielder. We started the second round of the league two weeks ago, although we went for that away match to lose against Hilal Tamara Club, we have bounced back with big win”.
According to Ikeh who was invited to Nigeria’s U-20 team Falconets in 2020, she will continue to put in good performance in the club whenever she is selected, promising to do even better in the next fixture against
playing against Assa Al_Zag club on sunday.
“We will be traveling for another away match this Sunday against Assa Zag team, I’m very optimistic of another away win at Terrain Municipal Assa
City, venue of the encounter. I see us fighting hard for the three points at stake and by grace of we shell win”, Ikeh said.

Before landing in Morocco middle of last year, Ikeh played for Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC, a Ghanaian professional women’s football club based in Techiman in the Bono East Region of Ghana.
She also.played for Bayelsa Queens of Yanegoa before transferring to Edo Queens FC.
With Nigeria aiming for the 12th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) trophy in Morocco later this year Ikeh’s experience playing in the Moroccan league will be an added advantage to the Super Falcons and Nigeria if she is selected by head coach Randy Waldrum.
