A 27-year-old man, Abubakar Kabiru, was on Thursday arraigned before a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing N433,000.
Kabiru, who resides at Kawo Kaduna, is being charged with criminal conspiracy, trespass and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence at Hayin Bakin Kawo, Kaduna on Feb 10.
Leo further said that Kabiru and another now at large, broke into the house of the complainant, Rabiu Liman and stole the sum of N434, 000.
He stated that the defendant was caught by security guards while attempting to come out of the house, and handed over to the police.
Leo said that the offence contravened the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.
The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel, admitted Kabiru to bail in the sum of N100, 000, with one surety in like sum.
He ordered that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
Emmanuel thereafter adjourned the case until March 14 for hearing. (NAN)
