Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, have moved up 14 places in the latest FIFA men’s World rankings released on Thursday morning.
The Super Eagles are now 28th in the world with 1522.26 points.
Jose Peseiro’s side are also now the third highest ranked team in Africa.
The remarkable rise was as a result of the team’s impressive performance at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The West Africans finished in second position at the competition losing 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in final.
Morocco and Senegal occupy second and third position on the continent. READ ALSO:

Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire complete the top five teams in Africa.
