Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro believes his side are not favourites to beat the Palancas Negras of Angola.
Peseiro’s side are the highest ranked team left at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations following the exit of big guns like Senegal, Morocco and Egypt
The Super Eagles have been tipped to run over the Palancas Negras in their quarter-final tie.
Peseiro refused the favourites tag going into the game.
“It’s going to be a tough game between two teams that want to reach the final. Angola is not big name but they have good players and have played well in this competition .It’s going to be a tough game,” Peseiro said during his interaction with the media in Abidjan on Thursday. READ ALSO:

“It will be a tough game but we need to approach it with vigour , commitment and good spirit to come out with a win.
“It’s going to be 50/50 for the two teams. I believe in my team, we want to win even though we won’t accept we are the favourites. We will go there and fight.”
