Frank Onyeka has set his sights on representing Nigeria again at the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The Brentford star made his first AFCON appearance two years ago in Cameroon.
Onyeka is hoping to be included in Super Eagles’ squad for the upcoming 2023 AFCON slated for Cote d’Ivoire.
The 25-year-old stated that playing at another Africa’s biggest soccer competition will be a great accomplishment for him.
“I’ll always want to represent my country on the big stage. It’s an honour to wear the green and white shirt, so it’s something that I have to do,” he told BBC Sport Africa.
“I was a boy playing in the streets of Nigeria and now I’m representing the Super Eagles at AFCON.
“It is a dream come true, because after watching AFCON legends in past years, now you’re going to be part of the team. I’m looking forward to it so much.” READ ALSO:
