The management of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has postponed the undergraduate students’ resumption date to Jan. 7, 2024.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Zailani Bappa, Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the institution, on Friday in Bauchi.
“The decision to extend the resumption date for undergraduate students was reached in an emergency meeting of the management,” Bappa said.
It will be recalled that the management on Dec. 4, announced the closure of the school over students’ protest for one week.
The students protested over the death of a 500 level student of Geology, Joseph Baidu, outside the campus.
The management said the measure was imperative to avert breakdown of law and order on the two campuses of the school. (NAN). READ ALSO:
