Jerome Akor says he will keep fighting hard to gatecrash into Nigeria’s squad to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Akor linked up with Ligue 1 club Montpellier in the summer and has been one of the key performers in the French top-flight this season.
The 23-year-old has scored seven times in nine league appearances for La Paillade.
The striker hopes his impressive displays for the former Ligue 1 champions can help him earn a place in Jose Peseiro’s team.
“National team is the dream of every boy who grew up in his country and for me is also the same but right now I think it’s still one, two months away,” Akor told a press conference.
“The games in Montpellier are my biggest focus, and that would come when it comes, and then we’ll see with the club.” READ ALSO:

He will be action when Montpellier take on Paris Saint-Germain on Friday night (today).
