Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen and Napoli are haggling over a new contract.
Both parties reached a verbal agreement on a new contract last summer but are yet to agree on the final details.
Osimhen has a contract until 2025 and Napoli want the striker to sign an extension for two years.
The salary and release clause have been the major stumbling block so far.
As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Osimhen would like his salary to be doubled in a new deal – from the current €4.5m net to around €9m net per season. READ ALSO:

Osimhen’s camp are also pushing for a reasonable release clause.
Napoli’s offers have not come close to the €9m salary mark yet and they want to set the release clause to over €200m, creating a significant divide between the two parties.
