Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen will miss at least six games including the cracker against Ac Milan and the champions league double header against Union Berlin, after sustaining injury playing for Nigeria.
Osimhen went down injured in the 54th minute of the game against Saudi Arabia before eventually being replaced by Terem Moffi afterwards. The striker was left out of the game against Mozambique yesterday as a precaution.
Speaking after the game against Saudi Arabia, Super eagles coach Jose Paseiro confirmed the injury saying they are in contact with the club. He said, “our responsibility is to control the health of our players. He is a fantastic player. Napoli needs him, and we need him too.
“It is our responsibility to do everything, to speak with the doctor for Osimhen, [and] call the clinic to check if he can play or not. But in three days, we will put Osimhen on time watch.”, he said. READ ALSO:

However, according to a report in Italy, Napoli today revealed that Victor sustained a muscle injury to his right thigh which will keep out for at least 40 days.
According to Napoli “after the injury suffered in the National team, Victor Osimhen was examined today and underwent further tests which highlighted a medium-grade lesion of the biceps femoris of his right thigh”. The club revealed that Osimhen has started treatment at the club training center ahead of recovery.
Napoli will be without their top striker when they travel to Verona after the International break. The Nigerian will also be unavailable when his team face Union Berlin in the midweek Champions league followed by a crucial cracker at home to former champions AC Milan. Victor will also miss the Serie A fixtures against Salernitana and Empoli.
The Striker has scored 6 goals in 8 appearances for Napoli this season.
