The who is who in Nigeria’s premier Church – Methodist Church Nigeria would on Sunday September 24, 2023 gather in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) to honour prominent Nigerians, seasoned administrator, Public Relations experts, and Journalists during the 2023 Honorific Award service of the Church.
Prominent among those to be honoured are the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, (CJN) Hon Justice Walter Ononghen; Accountant General of the Federation, (AGF), Dr Oluwatoyin Madein and a seasoned Public Relations and Editor of DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola JP.
A seasoned broadcaster of the NTA fame, Cyril Stober; a former Chairman of the FCT Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR), Sir Joseph Ohaeri Osondu and a lecturer with the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Dr James Idaa would also ve invested with their titles.
The service to be officiated by the Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr Oliver Ali Aba would attract several Bishops of the Church to be led by the Secretary of Conference, Rt Revd Dr Babatunde A. Taiwo and Abuja Methodist Metropolitan Archbishop, Most Rev Dr Michael Akinwale. READ ALSO:

The service which would be held at the newly refurbished Ultra modern Cathedral of Unity, Wuse, Abuja would see distinguished members of the Church drawn from Dioceses of Methodist Church in Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Nyanya, Kubwa, and Abuja honoured as Knights of John Wesley, Knights of Charles Wesley, Officer of the Order of Wesley and Member of the Order of Wesley.
The award service would be preceded with a seminar titled “Discover to Recover” being anchored by the Evangelism and outreach Directorate of the Church.
The first church in Nigeria often organize the award service to appreciate members for their commitment in uplifting the vision and mission of the church which was established in 1842.
