Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has bounced back to winning ways from last month’s poor outing at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest by winning the Women’s 100 Meters Hurdles race in Eugene, Oregon, United States of America (USA) on Sunday.
Running in strong field containing World and Olympics champions as well as top-ranked hurdlers from across the world, Amusan braced the tape at 12.33 seconds to emerge the winner of the highly competitive women’s 100m Hurdles at the Diamond League in Oregon, the same place she won the title last year.
It was Amusan’s third time of winning the event in the Diamond League just as she became the second woman in Diamond League history after Dawn Nelson-Harper to win a hat-trick of 100m Hurdles titles, in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Prompt News reports that Amusan, the World Champion and World Record holder in the 100 Meters Hurdles, was cleared to race at the World Championships after she was earlier provisionally banned after a case of missing drug tests. READ ALSO:

However, a Disciplinary Tribunal found that Amusan did not commit an anti-doping rule violation and her provisional suspension was lifted with immediate effect, according to the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), which handles doping cases in track and field.
