Nottingham Forest turned down an offer from Al Tai for Emmanuel Dennis on the final day of the Saudi Arabia Professional Football League transfer window on Thursday.
Dennis is surplus to requirements at Nottingham Forest and was expected to leave the Premier League club this summer.
The Tricky Trees however failed to allow the Nigeria international move Al Tai despite firm interest from the Saudi club.
Al Tai instead signed Marko Dugandzic from Romanian club Rapid Bucharest.
With the Turkish window is still open, a loan move Super Lig club, Trabzonspor now likely for Dennis.
