Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has received the Capocannoniere (top scorer) award for the 2022-23 season.
The Nigeria international scored 26 goals in 32 league games last season, contributing to Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years.
The 24-year-old received the Capocannoniere award ahead of Sunday’s league game against Sassuolo, the first home game in 2023-24 for the Serie A defending champions.
Osimhen is the first African nay Nigerian to win the Capocannoniere. READ ALSO:

The striker is also currently the highest scoring African in the Italian top-flight.
Osimhen has picked up where we left off, scoring three goals in the opening two Serie A games of the season.
