Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), President Ibrahim Gusau has disclosed that the football house is in contact with Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro over a new contract.
Peseiro was appointed Super Eagles head coach on a one-year contract in May 2022.
The contract expired last month but the two parties seem willing to continue working together.
According to Gusau, the NFF are currently locked in talks with Peseiro over an extension.
“His (Peseiro ) contract ended in July and we’re now talking to him and his lawyers,” Gusau was quoted by SCORE. READ ALSO:

“We hope to conclude very soon and a decision will be made based on the recommendations of the technical committee.”
The Super Eagles are scheduled to take on Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month.
