The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has expressed the state government’s readiness to providing youth empowerment for the unemployed.
Aiyedatiwa disclosed this in a statement he personally signed and obtained by our correspondent to mark the 2023 International Youth Day.
The Acting Governor who congratulated youths, also stressed that the government was committed to ensuring human capital development in the state.
“Today, August 12, 2023 marks another milestone in the affairs of youth globally after the declaration by the United Nations (UN), that this day be set aside as International Youth Day to celebrate and apprciate the value of youth.”
“It is against this backdrop that, I, on behalf of our Governor, Arakunrin OLUWAROTIMI Akeredolu SAN , CON and the government of Ondo State congratulate and celebrate the youth of our dear state on this day.”
“Our valued and highly resourceful youth of Ondo State, I wish to reiterate that our administration is irrevocably committed to ensuring the human capital development of Ondo State. In addition, we are determined to provide accessible, inclusive and integrated youth empowerment schemes as machinery for incubating young entrepreneurs who will drive our economy to the next level.”
“The theme of this year’s celebration ‘Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World, which means ‘knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes needed to live , develop and support a sustainable and resource friendly society, also further remind us of the Importance of sustainable development and green environment, a vital component of our REDEEMED” AGENDA.
“As we celebrate this day, I wish you all the very best. May the future of our state be brighter, greener than the present,” the statement reads
