Nigeria’s D’Tigress won a fourth consecutive Afro Women’s Basketball title after edging out their Senegalese counterpart 84-74 in a thrilling final on Saturday night.
The encounter had fans of both teams on the edge of their seats all through.
D’Tigress took the game to their opponent in the first quarter, coasting home 19-10.
Rena Wakama’s side further enhanced their superiority at the end of the first half.
They led by 12 points (43-31) despite strong fight from the Senegalese.
Senegal put up a spirited fight in the third quarter narrowing down the gap to five points. READ ALSO:
