The Jigawa Technical Facilitator on Immunization, Usman Binyaminu, has said that at least 22,000 persons have so far been vaccinated against yellow fever in Malammadori Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
The Information Officer in the LGA, Alhaji Musa Muhammad, disclosed this in a statement issued in Dutse and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.

It further quoted Binyaminu as saying that all the challenges faced during the exercise had been resolved with the intervention and cooperation of the traditional leaders.
The statement added that the Primary Health Coordinator of the LGA, Hamza Bello, commended the council for its support toward the successful conduct of the exercise.
“The District head of Malamadori, Alhaji Muhammad Saleh, promised continued support and cooperation to all health programmes in the area,” the statement further stated.
Also, the council Chairman, Hussain Umar, reportedly thanked the health workers in the area for their performance and pledged to give all the necessary assistance for the success of the exercise.(NAN)
