Republic of Ireland head coach, Vera Pauw claimed his side will fight to finish their campaign at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on a winning note.
The debutants will be up against former African champions Nigeria in their final Group B game at the Brisbane Stadium on Monday morning.
Despite having little to play for in the game, following their elimination after defeats to Australia and Canada, Pauw claimed they want to beat the Super Falcons.
“We have a fantastic game to play. Nigeria are ranked 52 [in the world] but we all agree now that they are so, so strong,” quoted on BBC Sport. READ ALSO:

“They are physically strong, they are skilful and extremely fast so there is a huge task on our plate. I want to concentrate on the game.
“That game is crucial for us, for our feeling, our pride and for the tournament.”
