Kwara United head coach Kabiru Dogo has expressed optimism of good outing for the club in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) which has been scheduled to kick-off on August 26.
The Harmony Boys will take part in a pre-season competition holding between the 4th and 10th of August 2023, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
While commending the state government and the stakeholders for their support to the team, Coach Dogo said that the team, despite starting late, had no choice than to fashion their preparations alongside the commencement date of the apex league.
“The camping and pre-season is crucial to our preparations. According to the Organizers, the league will commence on August 26th. The pre-season will serve as a build-up, as it will afford us the opportunity to re-assess the players we have picked so far,”Dogo told the club’s official website.
“We are going to Ikenne with as many players as possible, out of which we will continue with the plus and minus, until we get the right combination of players for the team. READ ALSO:

“That is not to say that we will not be ready for the league. We have just concluded the first phase of preparations, and from our campaign in the ValueJet competition and other friendly matches, we will be certain to what level we will be ready by then.
“The date has already been fixed. We can’t change it, but to work towards it. We thank God for the level of support we are getting from the government, Sports Commission and the management, being led by Kumbi Titiloye.”
