The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a stunning 3-2 victory against co-hosts Australia in their Group B encounter at the Lang Park , Brisbane on Thursday.
Australia in front of their home fans were the better side in the early exchanges.
It took some smart saves from Chiamaka Nnadozie to keep the score level.
Emily van Egmond gave Australia the lead late in the first half.
Nigeria responded almost immediately with Uchenna Kanu slotting home from a goal mouth scramble.
Centre-back Osinachi Ohale nodded home on 65 minutes to hand the Super Falcons the lead for the first time in the game. READ ALSO:

Substitute Asisat Oshoala scored the third in the 72nd minute.
Alana Kennedy reduced the deficit for Australia deep into stoppage time.
The Super Falcons will face Republic of Ireland in their last group game next week Monday.
