In a bid to curtail the rising increase of all manners of football academies in Nigeria, the Footballl regulating body NFF has directed its Technical and legal departments to produce new guidelines for the establishment of Football Academies.
NFF noted that the influx of football academies in the country without guidelines and registration is seriously affecting the discovery and development of grassroot football.
” We need to regulate the academies and have proper documentation. Football Academies are being established left , right and centre without registration from NFF.
” Some of them use it to export players without the know of the federation and when issue comes up, the secretariat has no record of it. For once let’s get it right,” said General Secretary.
