Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state, South-south Nigeria will on Wednesday 24 July 2013, at Chatham House London speak on the Topic “Reform and Resource Governance in Nigeria”.
The Governor who manages one of the largest economy in Nigeria and also the Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF) will also discuss his government’s strategies for responding to competing priorities across Rivers State and efforts to improve governance and transparency.
Nigeria’s State governors play key roles in the country’s domestic development through reform implementation, infrastructure development, service provision and allocation of resources to Local Governments.
As momentum is building towards Nigeria’s 2015 election, there is need to address immediate security and development challenges.
