The Chairman of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Engr. Musa Nimrod has lauded the achievement of the Sports Minister Sunday Dare as he bows out office after four years.
Nimrod in accessing the outing Minister said Dare would have done more if not government bureaucratic bottleneck in getting funds for international competitions.
He said the ability of the Minister to resolve crisis rocking most sport Federations was a big plus couple with democratisation of sports.
” To be honest Dare initiative of adopt an athlete with appeals to states government and individuals yielded results in international competitions like Olympic Games held in China where Nigeria won 1 silver 2 bronzes. Also majority of federation presidents were elected into international and continental bodies”
He ensured that sporting facilities are upgraded to international standard.
