The Board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) rose from its meeting, approving that the 2014/2015 League season will get underway on the 18th of April on an abridged league format.
The league will be further divided into four groups of eight clubs to give time lost due to delay caused by elections.

The Board noted with concern the increasing of must win attitude of clubs in the just concluded League season and warned all clubs to play by the rules in the 2014/2015 League season.
It was also resolved that harder disciplinary measures would be put in place to discourage hooliganism, match fixing and other related football malpractices.
The Board reiterated that on no circumstance would any club be permitted to withdraw from the league, the board further resolved that all clubs must complete and endorse a notarised agreement pledging not to withdraw from the League or bring any form of disrepute to the game.
The Board confirmed that the Super 4 Competition will be played at Ilorin, Kwara State from 23rd to 25th of February, 2015.
The Board agreed to extend the closing date of registration to 27th of February, 2015and noted that no club who has not fully paid their registration fees will be allowed to play in the League.
DSS FC of Kaduna is hereby given a grace of two weeks to withdraw the case filed against the Nigeria National League or risk ban by the League.
The Board advised all clubs to always explore all the internal mechanisms to address grievances before seeking for litigation in the court of law.
The Board once again reminded itself of its Board elections in the month of January 2016 all things being equal.
The Board also set up a review committee comprising: Kunle Soname – Chairman, Emmanuel Zira – Member, Emmanuel Ochiagha – Member, Lawrence Katken – Secretary and six other club chairmen representing each geo-political zone.
