The last may not have been heard of the furore over the redesigned Naira notes and deadline for the old currency notes to cease to be legal tender in Nigeria.
Abubakar Malami, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Federation (AGF), late Wednesday, filed an application at the Supreme Court asking the apex court to dismiss the suit restraining the federal government from implementing the deadline for the old Naira notes to cease to be legal tender.
Prompt News recalls that the Supreme Court had earlier on Wednesday temporarily stopped the withdrawal of old Naira notes from February 10 as announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
