The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev Yakubu Pam, has extolled the virtues of his immediate predecessor, Evangelist Tor Uja.
The NCPC boss made the commendation during a reception and thanksgiving organized by the Council of Christian Elders in Conjunction with the Government of Benue state for the former Executive Secretary in Makurdi at the weekend.
He daid the history of NCPC would be incomplete without recognizing the wonderful role Tor Uja played in the development of the Commission.
“Minus your role in the Commission, the history of NCPC will never be complete”, the ES said, adding, “you have done marvelously well”.
Rev. Pam who noted that in terms of administration his predecessor did a very good work, described Tor Uja as a very good and ex6ce administrator.
He used the opportunity of the reception to urge the Governor of Benue state, Dr Samuel Ortom to sponsor Christians in the state on Pilgrimage to the Holy land, stating that the Commission had just airlifted the fifth batch of intending pilgrims to Israel and Jordan.
He said the Pilgrimage exercise would afford the Governor the rare opportunity to go to Israel with the intending pilgrims to thank God for the great things he had done.
In a statement by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director & Head Media and Public Relations, Pam commended the Governor for his love for his people even as he also appreciated the Council of Christian Elders for the honour and solidarity show their own.
In his remarks, Dr Samuel Ortom described the celebrant as a man who has maintained his integrity as a child of God and as a Christian, adding that “he is a Worthy example to emulate.”
The Governor urged the celebrant to continue to serve God and be focused always .
Tor Uja served as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission from 2015 to 2019.
