Visiting Rangers International Football Club of Enugu on Sunday in Kaduna held hosts Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna to a goalless draw in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that both teams strived hard for the full points from the Group B Match Day 4 fixture, but still finished with one point each.
Speaking after the match, Mohammed Bala, the Chief Coach of Niger Tornadoes, said the game was tough for them as their opponents “came in very hard to fight”.
“My team fought hard too, because they are good. But they were not able to get chances to score,” he said.
Bala added that his team would now have to work on their attack and other lapses noticed during the game for a better outing.
NAN reports that Niger Tornadoes now occupy the third position on the group’s league table with seven points from two wins, one draw and one loss in four games.
On his part, Abdul Maikaba, the coach of Rangers International, said the team tried their best.
“It was difficult playing on the pitch, but we put up a good fight and we were able to get a draw.”(NAN)
