Eight-time champions, Enyimba will try to maintain their perfect start in the Nigeria Premier Football League when they host Akwa United in Aba on Wednesday (today), reports Prompt News.
The match-day one of the new NPFL season recorded two away wins in both groups of the new league format with Enyimba putting up a good showing at the New Jos Stadium by beating Nasarawa United 2-1.
Akwa United lost 2-0 to Bendel Insurance at home in their opening fixture.
In another Group A match of the abridged league, Nasarawa United will face El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri and coach Bala Nkiyu hopes his side can make amends with an away result as well.
In Group B, Abia Warriors which recorded a 2-0 away victory over Rangers in the Oriental derby at the Awka City Stadium will also aim to make it two wins in two against Bayelsa United on Wednesday.
The other Group B fixture will see Dakkada FC host Wikki Tourist.
The NPFL is currently being structured with the abridged format in order to align with football calendar in most parts of the world.
