Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper has confirmed Taiwo Awoniyi will miss the side’s Premier League clash against Leicester City, reports Prompt News.
Awoniyi has been sidelined since picking up an injury in Nottingham Forest’s away win against Southampton.
The Nigeria international has missed the Reds last two games across all competitions.
Cooper stated that the 25-year-old is not fit for the visit of Foxes to the City Ground.
“Taiwo didn’t make it for this one(against Leicester City),” Cooper was quoted by Nottingham Post.
“We’re working away with him for the weekend. We’ve got our fingers crossed on that one.
“I’m not going to ever cry about things that are going against us, but our injury list is really unfortunate at the moment.
“Leicester is coming up – a good game, a big game. They have a day of extra rest and preparation, which seems to be the norm for us, but there we go. We’ll get on with it.”
Awoniyi has scored four goals in 16 league appearances for Nottingham Forest.
