The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has omitted the names of Nigerian referees from the list of officials that will officiate at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, reports Prompt News.
FIFA listed 33 referees, 55 assistant referees and 19 Video Assistant referees ( VAR) for the global soccer showpiece.
The world soccer ruling picked four African referees: Vincentia Amedome, Bouchra Karboubi, Salima Mukansanga and Akhona Makalima while Mary Njoroge will work as an assistant referee.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
It will run from July 20 to August 20.
The Super Falcons are among the 32 countries that will take part in the competition.
