Everton manager, Frank Lampard has revealed that Alex Iwobi will undergo scan today after picking an ankle injury in the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Manchester United, reports Prompt News.
The Nigeria international was badly tackled by Holland defender, Tyrell Malacia in the second half of the encounter at the Old Trafford.
Iwobi was stretchered off the pitch and replaced by Frenchman Abdoulaye Dacoure.
Lampard will be hoping the midfielder avoid a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“We hope it’s not too serious. It looks like an ankle ligament injury. He will have a scan tomorrow (today) to confirm,”Lampard was quoted by the Athletic after the game.
Iwobi has scored one goal and provided six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for Everton this season.
His potential absence will be a big blow for the Toffees who are fighting to avoid relegation.
