The Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL) has cancelled the Super 8 tournament scheduled to hold in Abuja from January 28-31, for Division Two winners.
A letter signed by the Executive Secretary of NNWL Olushola Ogunnowo and made available to Prompt News, he stated that the decision to cancel the Super 8 was as a result of non-availability of the players.
“We regret to inform you that the Super 8 tournament will not be played as planned, this was due to non availability of most of the teams involved.
“This confirmation was made when we received complaints that their players are on break and it will be difficult for them to prepare their teams for the event,” the letter reads.
Ogunnowo, however stated that the AGM slated for January 31 will still go on as planned.
