Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has been nominated for Napoli’s best goal and assist award for the year 2022, reports Prompt News.
Five players including Osimhen were nominated in each category.
The 23-year-old ferocious strike in the 1-0 away win against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in October was among the goals in contention for the goal award.
Giovanni Simeone, Piotr Zielinski, Khivicha Kvaratskhelia and Eljif Elmas are the other players nominated for the award.
Osimhen’s superb pass for Elmas winning goal in the 2-1 away victory at Atalanta in November got nominated for the assist award.
The Nigeria international will battle Franck Zambo Anguissa, Mario Rui , Kvaratskhelia and Elmas for the award.
The striker is currently the top scorer in Serie A with nine goals from 11 outings.
