Nigerian Army on Sunday confirmed the kidnap of a Colonel serving with Army School of Infantry, Jaji, Kaduna State.
The Colonel, Samaila Inusa, was said to have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Saturday evening.
The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Usman Abdul, disclosed this in a statement issued in Kaduna.
According to him, Inusa was abducted around Kamazo, near NNPC Junction, Kaduna at about 7:30pm on Saturday.
“The abductors dropped off his wife and left with him in his car and headed towards Abuja.
“They drove in a Mercedes Benz GK black colour with registration number Abuja, KUJ 154 TZ,” the statement reads.
