The chairman of FCT chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Mr. Kayode Adeniyi, has emerged chairman of the Northern SWAN Chairmen’s Forum.
Adeniyi was appointed in the early hours of Wednesday at the Forum’s meeting held in Dutse, Jigawa state capital.
The Forum, which comprises of the 19 SWAN Chairmen in the north, had 15 states chairmen, one vice chairman and two secretaries in attendance.
In his brief attendance speech, Adeniyi thanked the Jigawa state government for hosting the meeting and his colleagues for considering him worthy of leading them.
He also pledged to work for harmonious relationship among northern chairmen and the SWAN leaderships across the country.
As the National SWAN prepares for election later in the year, the FCT SWAN chairman called for unity.
Mr. Adeniyi is running his second term as FCT SWAN chairman.
