Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed Ima Niboro, former spokesman to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, as a member of his presidential campaign council.
Specifically, Niboro was appointed as a member of the Public Affairs Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Niboro who doubles as Director, Communications and Media Strategy, Delta APC Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation, is expected to work alongside Festus Keyamo SAN, Spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and other personalities to develop media strategy for the council.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, he was Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, to former President Goodluck Jonathan and was later appointed Managing Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in 2014.
Before then, he was Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, (Office of the Vice President).
He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lagos State University, a post graduate diploma in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, and a first degree in English Studies from the University of Port Harcourt.
