By Gracious Akujobi Golden girl Asisat Oshoala, has stated that the CAF awards she won will only push her to work harder.
Oshoala received double awards after she was named African Women’s player of the year and Youth Player of the year 2014 during the Glo CAF awards.
She beat two of her compatriots Uchechi Sunday to winning the Youth player of the year and Desire Oparanozie to winning the Women player of the year.
She told Prompt News that though she did not expect to win both awards, adding that it is just the beginning of more hard work for her.
“I Feel very happy about it, didn’t expect this duo. It serves as an assignment to me because I can’t afford to go down.
“I can’t even think of relaxing now, all I have in my brain is to always be better which enables me to do more,” she said.
Oshoala who was named the Most Valuable Player in the U-20 World Cup in Canada and at the African Women Championship in Namibia, said she prefers to keep silent as regards her personal targets at the World Cup in June.
Her words, “I don’t want to say anything regarding the World Cup for now, I will keep silent on that for now”.
Meanwhile the Rivers Angels player revealed that she has so many offers from clubs abroad but has yet to decide on where to play in Europe.
Last season Oshoala won the double with her team Rivers Angels, winning the League and FA cup.
