By Olusegun Lawrence The presidential candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed key party chieftains to coordinate his campaign ahead of the presidential election billed for February 14, 2015.
The campaign organisation is headed by a former national chairman of the PDP, Ahmadu Ali.
According to a statement issued Thursday by Political Adviser to President Jonathan, Prof Rufai Alkali, the chairman of the Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih is the Campaign Adviser.
To assist the Director-General, Ali are three Deputy Directors-General- a former Minister of Education, Prof Tunde Adeniran, who heads the campaign head office at the Legacy House, Maitama; Special Duties Minister, Kabiru Tanimu (North) and former Governor Peter Obi (South).
Also, the various directorates are headed by a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode (Media and Publicity); a former Information Minister, Prof Jerry Gana (Contact and Mobilization); Aliyu Umar (Administration and Logistics); a former Minister, Nenadi Usman (Finance).
Others are Nimi Amange (Planning, Research and Statistics); Emmanuel Imohe (Security and Intelligence); Abdullahi Maibasira (Youth Mobilisation); Nick Eze (Civil Society and Support groups) and Becky Igwe (Women Mobilization).
President Jonathan is billed to inaugurate the team on Monday at the PDP presidential campaign national office (Legacy House) at Maitama, Abuja.
