Determined to ensure adequate protection of lives and property of law abiding citizens, Nigerian Army 7 Division, has again imposed a total ban on vehicular movement in Borno State from 6.00am on Thursday, 1st January 2015 to 6.00pm on Friday 2nd January 2015.
Already, the Federal Government has declared the two days as public holidays to commemorate the New Year Celebration and Eid-el Moulud.
In a Press Release signed by the Spokesperson of the 7 Division of Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Usman, the military said the directive implies that movement by animals (horses), bicycles, motorcycles, tri-cycles and motor vehicles are totally banned in the State during the specifies period
He stated further that the restriction was informed by the need to ensure adequate protection of lives and property of law abiding citizens of Borno State throughout the period.
Colonel Usman also urged the public to report any suspicious movement of persons or vehicles around their environments to the nearest security agencies.
