Umar Sadiq could not hide his excitement after completing his move to Real Sociedad, reports Promptnewsonline.com.
Sadiq ended his two-year stay with another LaLiga club, UD Almeria on Thursday by pitching tent with Real Sociedad.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a prolific spell at Almeria netting 41 goals in over 80 appearances for the Rojiblancos.
His goals helped Rubi’s secured promotion back to LaLiga from the Spanish Segunda Division last season.
The Nigeria international has already scored two goals in three league appearances for Almeria this season.
Sadiq will be the second Nigerian to wear the White and Blues jersey of Real Sociedad after former midfielder, Mutiu Abiodun Adepoju.
The lanky striker said he is looking forward to a successful spell at the San Sebastian.
“The most important thing for me is that I am here, I will work hard to get results. The team plays very well, I want to meet my teammates,”Sadiq told a press conference.
“La Real is a great team and a big step in my career . It is the best option.
“I am very happy to be here. I will do everything possible to help my teammates and give my best level.”
