By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia A retired civil servant, Yusuf Mohammed Agabi Monday won Nasarawa governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polling 214 votes.
The primary was contested by nine aspirants including the immediate past Minister of Information, Labaran Maku,who had 160 votes.
Other aspirants are former Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma with 129 votes and the incumbent deputy Governor who defected to PDP, Damishi Luka who scored 12 votes while Solomon Ewuga, a member of Senate polled 31 votes.
The chairman of the electoral panel, Adolphus Nwabara said the election was peaceful and transparent calling on all the aspirants to cooperate with Yusuf Mohammed in order to win the election in 2015.
Apparently not satisfied with the conduct of the primary, Maku left the venue before the resulst were announced.
