As the on-going 12th CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco enters the business end, all the four countries in Group B featuring Tunisia, Cameroon, Zambia and Togo have their destiny in their hands going into the final match of the group slated for Saturday night.
After two rounds of matches, Zambia leads Zambia has 4 points ; Tunisia has 3 points and Cameroon 2 points while Togo has 1 point each hence all the four have chances of qualifying from the group tonight depending on the final scoreline.
However, the Copper Bullets of Zambia with 4 points in the kitty have the best opportunity to finish first or second of the group no matter what happens in her match with the Togo’s Sparrow Hawks just as Tunisia will go through if they lose or draws with Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
The above scenario makes the two matches; Cameroon versus Tunisia and Zambia against Togo, which will be played at the same time in Morocco must watch.
Regrettably, Cameroon with her top stars like Ajara Nchout Njoya and Gabrielle Ounguene among others have not stepped up in the competition as their last two games have produced only one goal.
This is why they Lionesses will come out to fight against Tunisia’s Eaglets of Carthage this night because they risk crashing out of the competition they have always played either in the final or third-place game.
Meanwhile, Togo with a point will like to play the match of their lives to get three points off Zambia because a draw will not help their ambition to stay in the tournament.
