The Nasarawa State Government said it was committed to the provision of infrastructure, to improve the standard of living of the people and the overall development of the state.
Mr Joshua Anzaku, Coordinator, Lafia Zone of the State Community Development Self Help Project Committee, said this on Tuesday while inspecting the Self-help project (borehole) by Alogani North community in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Community Self Help Projects Committee is under the state Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The coordinator said the visit was in line with Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s directive to assess self-help projects embarked by communities across the state.
He said the committee was in the area to assess self-help projects embarked by the community.
According to him, Gov. Abdullahi Sule is committed to the provision of Infrastructure across the state, to better the standard of living of the people.
” Gov. Abdullahi Sule is doing his best in the area of provision of social amenities to communities across the state.
” This is evident in his efforts in provision of rural and urban roads, electricity, water, health care and education, among others,” he said.
Anzaku called on the people of the community to support the state government’s policies and programmes to succeed.
Responding, Alhaji Isiaka Okko, the Sarki Alogani North, appreciated the team for the visit and assured them of support for government policies and programmes.
Okko commended Gov. Sule for his efforts in developing the state and called for sustenance.
He also called on the government to provide more social amenities in the community, considering the importance of infrastructure to human and societal development.(NAN)
