Minister of State power and Leader of PDP in Borno state, Mohammed Wakil has condemned the bomb blast in Maiduguri and Damasak as a continuation of inhuman conduct and actions of the insurgency, describing the killings as “sad and depressing.
“This heartless killing is not only unislamic but inhuman and animalistic. It is reprehensible and highly condemnable”, Media Aide, Olawale Rasheed quoted the minister as saying.
Wakil said killings of innocent ones seeking their daily livelihoods cannot be in service of Almighty Allah, calling on the insurgents and their backers to stop the bloodshed and accept the olive branch from the Federal Government.
“I commiserate with the victims and their families. I am a victim; we are all victims. I want to assure our people that President Goodluck Jonathan is doing all that is necessary to stop the insurgency. Our security agencies are daily re – strategising to defeat the insurgents. But this is a guerilla war which is conventionally a very difficult war for the security agencies
“I solicit support of our people for security agencies to defeat the insurgents .We must all join hands to ensure that the terrorists are defeated”, the minister pleaded.
